Zeny Fuentes

Zeny Fuentes grew up surrounded by the vibrant woodcarvings of Oaxaca, Mexico. With his father, renowned artist Epifanio Fuentes as his mentor, he learned to carve and paint these fanciful animals. The eldest of eight children, Zeny continues the family tradition with a unique style that is an honor to his parents and an inspiration to his siblings.

Today a respected artist in his own right, Zeny travels in the USA to work with schools, museums, and universities. His work is also featured in the book, Mexicolor (Chronicle Books, 1998).
